Another woman kicked, cursed and insulted three hijab-wearing women outside a preschool in Brooklyn with a hate crime spree. Even a 12-year-old girl wearing a hijab was abused as ‘Go back to your country’. The incident happened on January 30, Friday afternoon.
According to the New York City Police, a 33-year-old woman wearing a hijab was kicked in the Bay Ridge area near Fifth Avenue and 89th Street in Brooklyn. 8 minutes later, another 39-year-old woman pulled her hijab from behind while boarding the B-53 bus near 92 Street. 3 minutes later, a 12-year-old hijab-wearing girl was punched in the face a block away. When the police were called, they started investigating the whole incident. Police arrested the woman in Staten Island four days later on Wednesday. Several counts were filed against him. One of these is hate crime.

Charges against the arrested woman were filed in Brooklyn Criminal Court last Friday.

Targeting any New Yorker, especially children, for their religious beliefs is unacceptable, he wrote.
