
Free medical camp held at Panchbibi
A free medical camp was held at Jatair Pagla Bazar Girls High School grounds in Panchbibi, Joypurhat. Organized by Chhamir Uddin Chowdhury Waqf Estate, more than a thousand poor and helpless people were given free medical care and medicine in a day-long medical camp on Tuesday.
A 13-member expert doctor delegation from Bogra TMS Medical College Hospital provided treatment in dental, eye, ear, throat, orthopedic and medicine.
Additional SP Md. Enamul Haque Chowdhury, late retired Waqf Estate, said, late Umir Uddin is my grandfather. During his life in 1944, he wrote some property called wakfar for the development of social and religious institutions in the area. Since then we have been doing various social works. In continuation of this, free medical camp has been organized today. I will do such a great initiative if I get everyone’s support. Chairman of Aolai Union Ekramul Haque Tawhid Chowdhury said, thanks to the organizing committee for taking such a great initiative for the union residents. Former Chairman of Mohammadpur Union Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury Shahin and members of the estate were present. Locals are very happy to get free treatment.Aktar Hossain Bakul
