United States Awami League and allied organizations have expressed deep concern about the national elections in Bangladesh
Hakikul Islam Khokan
Regarding the upcoming national elections to be held in Bangladesh, we have expressed deep concern to the United States Awami League and Awami family, all allied organizations and various political, social, cultural, professional, journalist, poet, artist, teacher, literary and other organizations on the side of the liberation war. Khabar IBNNews. We do not think that this election will be free, fair and participatory in the current reality.
We want to make it clear—we do not accept votes on ballots that do not have the boat symbol and will not vote in such elections. We believe, this process does not have the opportunity to reflect the true opinion of the people.
In this context, we appeal to the general people of Bangladesh, refrain from participating in this election and protest peacefully instead of going to the polling station. No election can strengthen democracy without the trust and active participation of the people.
We hope, in the future, such an electoral environment will be created where the people of the country are fearless, can exercise their right to vote freely and with confidence.
