Mayoral candidate Hayatun started road renovation on his own initiative

At least 30 families have been suffering for a long time due to the waterlogging of the roads in Panchagarh municipality’s Dandepara area. In this situation, Hayatun Alam, the mayoral candidate for the upcoming Panchagarh municipal elections, has started the renovation of a road of about 200 meters length on his own initiative.
On Tuesday afternoon, he inaugurated the renovation work of that road. Panchagarh Municipal BNP member Shamsuzzaman Biplab, district women’s party president Laila Arjumand Banu Mukti and local residents were present at the time.
Locals complain that the movement is severely disrupted due to water accumulation in the slightest rain. Especially children, old people and patients have to suffer a lot in movement. They said that no effective initiative has been taken even though they have been demanding the renovation of the road for a long time.
Mayoral candidate Hayatun Alam said that recently in this area, the local members of Parliament, Barrister Naushad Zamir, demanded the renovation of this road. Later the member of Parliament assured to implement their demands. In continuation of that, I started the renovation work of this road with my own funding after talking to the member of parliament. If elected, I will work on a larger scale for the development of the area.
Note that Hayatun Alam is known in the area as a former student and youth leader. He is the proprietor of Noorjahan Hotel and Restaurant in Panchagarh city. Besides, elected director of Panchagarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society,Serving as Executive Member of Panchagarh Unit.
