The District Intelligence Branch (DB) police in Narsingdi have managed to arrest two members of the inter-district motorcycle thief gang in a special operation on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026. During this time, a total of three motorcycles including an expensive Yamaha motorcycle stolen from them were recovered. It is known that they were arrested during a special operation in Panchdona area of ​​Madhavadi police station. The arrested are 1/ Md Saiful Islam Babu (23), son of Md Chan Mia of Karachar Guptapara area of ​​Shibpur police station. 2/ Md Imran Hossain (21), son of Md Salim Mia of Panchdona (Bepari Para) area of ​​Madhavadi police station. District Intelligence Police (DB Police) Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Md. Abdullah Al Farooq under the direction of a smart team led by District Intelligence Branch SI Mobarak Hossain conducted this operation. On January 18, a Matblue color Yamaha FZ (150 cc) motorcycle worth Tk 2,10,000 was stolen from Dagaria area of ​​Sadar Model Police Station. With the help of information technology, a raid was conducted in Panchdona area this morning and the motorcycle was recovered and two thieves were arrested.
Later, based on the information provided by them, the DB Police conducted a raid in front of Panchdona Jabbar Tower while buying and selling stolen motorcycles. Sensing the presence of the police, 4/5 members of the gang ran away leaving behind two motorcycles. Police seized two abandoned motorcycles. The District Intelligence Branch said,The arrested are active members of an inter-district motorcycle gang. Operations are on to nab the absconding accused and legal action is under process.
