
Kidnapped girl rescued in RAB-5 joint operation in Rajshahi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-5), Rajshahi, has rescued a teenage victim of the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act case of Atrai police station of Naogaon district from Baragachi area under Paba police station of Rajshahi metropolis.
According to RAB sources, RAB has been playing an important role in suppressing terrorism, organized crime, drugs, weapons and various crimes since its establishment to maintain the overall law and order situation of the country. In continuation of this, a joint raid team consisting of RAB-5, CPC-2, Natore and Sadar Company, Rajshahi conducted a special operation in Baragachi area under Paba police station of Rajshahi metropolis on Wednesday (May 13) at 12:30 PM.
During the operation, Maryam Alam (17), the victim of Section 7/30 of the Act No. 03, Date: 01/05/2026 AD of Atrai Police Station of Naogaon District, was rescued.
The rescued girl is a resident of Brajpur village of Atrai police station in Naogaon district and is the daughter of Md. Munjurul Alam.
Later, the rescued victim was handed over to Atrai police station in Naogaon district for taking necessary legal action.
According to the RAB-5 office,Their campaign will continue to suppress all types of crimes including women and children abuse.
