Inauguration of paddy-rice collection in Ullapara

In Ullapara Upazila of Sirajganj, the rice collection program has been inaugurated during the internal Boro season.
On Wednesday morning (May 13), the food department organized a paddy-rice collection drive at R/S food warehouse of the upazila. Sirajganj-4 Ullapara Member of Parliament Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan was present as the chief guest.
Upazila Executive Officer Raihanul Islam, Upazila Food Controller Ainin Afroz, OC LSD Mizanur Rahman, former Member Secretary of Upazila BNP Azad Hossain Azad, Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Shahjahan Ali, former Municipal Mayor M Belal Hossain and media workers were present.
Upazila Food Department has informed that this year paddy and rice will be collected through lottery in a transparent and digital manner by accepting applications from farmers through Agriculture App.
Government this year from Ullapara 3 thousand 28 metric tons of rice at the rate of 36 taka per kg, 4 thousand 377 metric tons of rice at the rate of 49 taka per kg,Will collect 30 metric tons of wheat at the rate of 35 taka per kg.
