Illegal goods worth Tk 26 lakh and Iskaf Siraf seized in Jessore

49 BGB seized illegal smuggled goods in a raid at Jessore border.

BGB members conducted anti-smuggling operations in border areas of Jessore Battalion (49 BGB), Battalion Sadar, Hijli, Benapole BOP, Amrakhali Checkpost and Benapole ICP on Sunday (May 24).

5 kg of ganja, 74 bottles of ESCUF SYRUP (narcotic) 1 motorcycle, 112 coat ties, 40 packets of blisters, 1823 Indian cosmetics, 13 shawls, 145 sarees, 216 food items, 3436 different types of chocolate, 17.5 kg of raisins, 6 kg of cumin were seized in this raid at different borders of Jessore.

According to BGB, the value of seized goods is 26,15,880/- (twenty six lakhs fifteen thousand eight hundred and eighty) rupees.

In this regard, Jessore Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Golam Mohammad Saiful Alam Khan, PSC said that for a long time, intelligence activities and raids are continuing in the border area as per the special plan of BGB to arrest the smuggling gangs including narcotics and smuggled goods. In continuation of this, Jessore Battalion is able to seize narcotics and various types of smuggled goods by conducting regular raids in the border areas under its responsibility. Such offensive activities of BGB will always continue on the border.‎
