Embezzlement of Tk 1.5 Lakh of disabled woman: Arrest warrant issued against Mannan Bhuiyan, the absconding accused in multiple cases

The court has issued an arrest warrant against the defrauder A. Mannan Bhuiya, who was accused of embezzling Tk.

The learned Senior Judicial Magistrate 3rd Court Judge M. Saiful Islam ordered the issuance of arrest warrant against the accused as he was not present in the court on the appointed day of framing of charges in the CR-225/25 case.

According to the complaint of the case, A. Mannan Bhuiyan accepted one and a half lakh taka through fraud by assuring a disabled woman Rupali to arrange land and construction of a house. Later it was alleged that he embezzled money without fulfilling the promise.

According to court sources, Ah Mannan Bhuiyan is absconding accused in several cases including a murder case of Jatrabari police station, a robbery case of Narayanganj Sadar police station, a robbery case of Fatulla police station and two other fraud cases. There are already arrest warrants against him in these cases.

As he was absent from the court on the day of framing the charge, the judge reviewed the case documents and directed to issue a new arrest warrant against him. In the same case, the court framed charges against the accused Mannan’s wife Ayesha Akhter.This incident has created a sensation in the area. The victim and his family have demanded that the accused be arrested and brought to justice.
