Law and order meeting and agricultural technology fair-2026 grand opening in Barguna

An important meeting of the District Law and Order Committee and the grand opening ceremony of “Agriculture Technology and Nutrition Fair-2026” were held in Barguna. The district town became lively with the participation of district administrative officers, public representatives, people related to agriculture and people of various classes and professions in the day-long event on Thursday.
Hon’ble Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Nurul Islam Moni MP was present as the chief guest in the district law and order committee meeting organized by the district administration at the district commissioner’s conference room at 12 noon.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Miz Tashlima Akhtar was also attended by Parliament Member of Barguna-1 Constituency Mahmudul Hossain Aliullah, District Parishad Administrator Nazrul Islam Mollah, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Ibrahim and other leaders from various levels of political, social and administration.
In the meeting, the overall law and order situation of the district, development activities, strengthening of public security and various important decisions to improve the quality of citizen services were discussed. The speakers emphasized on the concerted efforts of the administration and the people to curb drugs, crime and social degradation.
On the other hand, the much awaited “Agriculture Technology and Nutrition Fair-2026” started at the premises of the District Arts and Crafts Academy at 1 PM. Honorable Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni MP inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon. The program was presided over by District Commissioner Miz Tashlima Akhter.
Agriculturalist Rathindranath Biswas, officials of the Department of Agricultural Extension, local public representatives and teachers and students of various educational institutions were present on the occasion.
After inaugurating the fair, the chief guest visited various stalls and urged the concerned to work more sincerely for the expansion of modern technology based agriculture system. Various aspects of modern agricultural machinery, nutritious food production, safe vegetable cultivation, climate tolerant agricultural technology and agricultural innovations are highlighted in the exhibition.
In the discussion meeting Honorable Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni praised the activities of the district administration and said,The overall development and administrative activities of Barguna district are being managed very well. All officials including the District Commissioner are working with sincerity.
He also said, if the farmers survive, the country will survive. There is no substitute for agricultural development to ensure food security of the country.
In his speech, he highlighted the introduction of Krishak card, agricultural loan waiver, canal digging and various agriculture-friendly programs for agricultural development and said that the country’s economic progress will be accelerated through technology-based modern agricultural system.
Expressing his determination to stand by the farmers, he said that to transform agriculture into a profitable sector, all sections of the society should come forward along with the government.
The presence of common people in the day-long event was eye-catching. A lot of enthusiasm and enthusiasm has been seen among the farmers of the district around the agricultural technology and nutrition fair.
