Society held hostage by drug syndicates, attacks on journalists for writing the truth

Journalists are now subjected to torture if they publish news against drugs, terrorism, extortion and juvenile gangs. In some places journalists are beaten up, in some places they are threatened with death, and if they get a chance, there are terrible incidents like house attacks and looting. The main force behind these incidents is the drug syndicate and their terrorist forces.

Political pressure comes down on journalists especially when they publish investigative reports against drugs at the local level. Many times after the arrest of a drug dealer, people with different political identities call and say – “O amuk bhai yer lok”, “Tamuk is under the leader’s umbrella.” As a result, the operation of the law and order forces also became questionable.

Although the Prime Minister declared “zero tolerance” against drugs, in reality, many dishonest political leaders are accused of harboring drug dealers, extortionists and juvenile gangs for their own benefit. Due to this, the drug syndicate is becoming stronger day by day and is having a terrible influence on the society.

Conscious circles demand that those who are involved in drugs and terrorism in the name of politics,They should be expelled from the party immediately. At the same time, security of journalists should be ensured and a strict operation against the drug syndicate should be conducted. Otherwise, it will never be possible to break this terrible cycle of social destruction.
