1 person “detained in drug raid” in Chilmari

Police of Chilmari Model Police Station arrested 1 drug dealer in Chilmari of Kurigram.
On Monday (May 18) at approximately 05:30 PM, a vigilant team of “Chilmari Model Police Station” conducted a tip-off operation at Matikata Mor area under Chilmari Police Station and arrested Nazmin Akhter (22) of Noapara area under Abhaynagar Police Station, Jessore district, with 12 kg of ganja (market value estimated at Tk 1,20,000). In this regard, Kurigram District Police Media Officer and Ulipur Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Ashraful Alam, PPM confirmed the matter and said that 1 female drug dealer was arrested with 12 kg of ganja from Matikata Mor area under Chilmari police station. A Narcotics Control Act case is pending at Chilmari Model Police Station. Also against drugs in all police station areas of Kurigram district,He said that the operation is ongoing.
