Khagrachari region next to 40 helpless people in Khagrachari

The Khagrachari Region Authority has provided financial assistance to 40 poor, helpless and underprivileged people in the hilly district Khagrachari. Major Kazi Mostafa Arefin, GSO-2 (Int) of the region, distributed this aid in an event organized at Khagrachari Region Headquarters on Sunday (21 December) noon.

At this time, he said, Khagrachari region has been regularly implementing public welfare programs in the service of humanity. Considering the real needs of the common people of the hills, this program is being conducted with the help of education, medical, disabled and homeless people and it will continue in the future as well.

The assistance covers medical expenses, construction of houses, education of students, grants to madrassas and orphanages, assistance to the disabled, distribution of educational materials and special assistance on the occasion of Christmas.

Locals welcomed this humanitarian initiative of Khagrachari region and said that such activities will improve the quality of life and peace of the marginalized people of the hilly region.It plays an important role in maintaining harmony.
