Chatkhil Upazila Press Club expressed deep grief over the death of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Leaders of Noakhali’s Chatkhil Upazila Press Club have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Bangladesh’s first woman prime minister, three-time successful former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The leaders of the organization expressed their grief in a joint condolence message sent to the media today, Tuesday (December 30). Chatkhil Upazila Press Club President Anich Ahmed Hanif and General Secretary Saiful Islam Riyad and other leaders sought forgiveness for the departed soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.

The leaders said in the condolence message, “Begum Khaleda Zia’s historic role in the revival of Bangladesh’s parliamentary democracy and state management is undeniable. Especially the revolutionary changes in women’s education, women’s empowerment and development at the grassroots level that she initiated in Bangladesh will be forever remembered. In her death, the country lost a great patriot and popular leader, which leaves an irreparable void in the country’s political history. created.”

It should be noted that Begum Khaleda Zia died while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital today at 6 o’clock in the morning.
