Police special operation in Chuadanga: Accused in dozens of cases arrested Tarjeet

Darshana police station of Chuadanga district has arrested long-time fugitive and violent terrorist Md. Rasheduzzaman Tarjeet alias Rashed (27) in a successful operation. He has about a dozen cases and arrest warrants against him, including drug dealing, bombing and arson.

According to police sources, a vigilant team of Darshana police station conducted a special operation in Ishwarchandrapur (Big Mosque neighborhood) area today on May 5, 2026 at approximately 02:30 pm based on secret information.

Tarjeet was surrounded and arrested from his own house in this operation conducted with utmost secrecy and caution. Sensing the presence of the police, he tried to escape, but the law and order forces were able to catch him in a clever operation.

Arrested Md. Rasheduzzaman Tarjeet (27), son of Md. Sanirul Islam of Ishwarchandrapur village of Darshana police station. He was known locally as a known drug kingpin and violent terrorist.

According to police records, several serious cases have been registered against Tarjeet at Darshana police station at various times. His list of crimes includes:

Multiple cases of drug smuggling and supply through border areas. Alleged use of cocktails and explosives to create panic in the area. Fights, serious injuries and arson of common people’s property. Direct obstruction and attack on police official work.

After the arrest, the process of handing over the accused to the learned court under proper police guard is underway. Apart from the earlier cases against him, other legal proceedings are pending.

The Chuadanga District Police has informed that the zero tolerance policy on drugs and such special operations to curb crime will continue.
