
Construction of school without permission on private land, alleged land owner, investigation underway.

“An educational institution has been constructed without proper permission on privately owned land in Kamaria Union No. 8 of Tarakanda Upazila of Mymensingh district,” complained the locals.
According to local sources, based on the complaint, a preliminary investigation was conducted in the concerned area. During the investigation, it was found that a school building is under construction at the designated place. However, residents said that no valid government approval or necessary documents were displayed during the construction process.
The complainants claim that the role of the headmaster of the school has been questioned and a section of the locals have also complained about irregularities and corruption. However, no final comment has been received from any authority on this matter yet.
On the other hand, Shihab Sarkar, the owner of the land said, first a letter was given to the ACC, then a letter was sent from the ACC to the Directorate of Education, the officers from the Directorate of Education Mymensingh came and investigated, adding that the school building was constructed on private land without any written agreement or government approval. He objected to the incident and demanded to take necessary legal action.
Local administration and Union Parishad representatives said that while it is mandatory to follow the rules and regulations for the construction of educational institutions, it is being verified whether they have been followed in this case or not.
In this regard, the concerned authorities said,The matter is under investigation and necessary action will be taken after investigation.
