RAB-10 arrested 01 drug dealer along with 220 bottles of Phencidil worth about 7 lakh rupees.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is playing a leading role in maintaining law and order and anti-narcotics operations in the country. RAB-10 arrested 01 active members of the drug gang along with drugs from Sadar police station area of ​​Rajbari district on 19/05/2026 morning at approximately 08.05 hours as part of RAB’s regular operation to protect the youth from the dangers of drugs.

A smart raiding team of RAB-10, CPC-3, Faridpur camp conducted an operation in Goland Mor area under Sadar Thana of Rajbari district based on intelligence information. Conducting the said operation, 220 (two hundred and twenty) bottles of Phencidil, with an estimated illegal market value of 6,60,000/- (six lakhs and sixty thousand taka), were arrested along with 01 (one) person by conducting a strip search on the paved road from Rajbari to Faridpur. The arrested person’s name is Md. Shahinur Mal (25), Father- Deceased Arjet Mal, Sang- Bairagir Char, Thana- Daulatpur, District- Kushtia. Meanwhile, the nachiman used to transport drugs was seized.

It is revealed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. For a long time, he had been illegally collecting Phencidyl and other drugs from the border areas of the country and supplying them to different areas of the country including Faridpur and Rajbari. The process of handing over the recovered drugs to the concerned police station is in progress for filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act against the arrested person.
