A woman was arrested with 400 grams of ganja during the DNC raid in Chapainawabganj
The Directorate of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested a woman named Mosa Baby (48) with 400 grams of ganja during an anti-narcotics operation in Chapainawabganj. On Sunday (June 14) from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, he was arrested in Nimgachi village of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station. Arrested Mosa Baby is a resident of that area.
According to the sources of Narcotics Control Directorate, in a tip-off operation, ganja was recovered from a shopping bag hanging on a rack placed on the south side of the west-facing bedroom of the four-room semi-paved house owned by the accused. Among the evidence recovered were 130 small and large marijuana pods wrapped in blue polythene and paper. The total weight of these ganja is 400 grams and the estimated market value is around 12 thousand taka. Chowdhury Imrul Hasan, deputy director of Narcotics Control Directorate, said that the recovered drugs have been seized and necessary legal measures have been taken. In this incident, Deputy Inspector (SI) Md. Mustafizur Rahman is completing the process of filing a regular case under the Narcotics Control Act at Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station as the plaintiff.
He also said,”The operations of the Department of Narcotics Control to eliminate drugs will continue on a regular basis. Such operations of the law enforcement agencies to prevent drug dealing and drug abuse will continue in the future.” DNC’s operation has added a new dimension to local anti-drug activities.
