Two kidnapped children rescued by Narayanganj PBI: 3 members of human trafficking ring arrested

Shah Kamal Sabuj: Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Narayanganj has managed to rescue two kidnapped children from Mizmiji Books Garden area under Siddhirganj Thana of Narayanganj. Three members of the human trafficking ring involved in the incident have been arrested.

On Tuesday, May 19, Siddhirganj Police Station Case No. 31, Human Trafficking Case, was taken over by the PBI. Police Superintendent of PBI Narayanganj district unit in charge. Mustafa Kamal Rashed, Deputy Inspector of Police under the direction of BPM. A special team led by Farhad Bin Karim conducted the arrest operation. In the operation, late night on May 18, the mastermind of the case, Emdadul Haque Rabbani (23), was arrested from TNT Gate area of ​​Banani Karail slum area of ​​the capital. On the basis of the information given by him, Noor-e-Nasreen (29) was arrested and abducted 28-day-old child Abdur Rahman Jubayet was rescued from his custody on the same night.
Earlier, on the night of May 13, another victim, a five-year-old child, Aryan, was rescued from Nijhumanivas area of ​​Savar’s Arapara area. Mejbah Uddin, the father of two children, has been arrested in this incident.

According to the source of the case, Mejbah Uddin got married to Jharna Akter seven years ago. They have two children named Ariyan (5) and Abdur Rahman Jubayet (28 days). It is alleged that after marriage, Mejbah Uddin got involved with various women and created discord in the family. He also used to pressure his wife for money and threatened to sell the children if she did not pay.
Last April 21st evening, Mejbah Uddin with the help of his acquaintance Emdadul Haque Rabbani systematically kidnapped two children from their home. Later, the victim’s mother came to know through various means that the two children were planned to be sold for the purpose of trafficking. He then lodged a complaint with the police station.
According to PBI,The investigation revealed the involvement of the arrested Emdadul Haque Rabbani as a member of an active human trafficking ring. It is known that he used to collect and traffic children by targeting poor and poor families through social media. Already, there is evidence of multiple child trafficking against him.
Meanwhile, Mejbah Uddin was involved in drugs and online gambling, the investigation also revealed. It is alleged that he had multiple marriages and used to sell his children for money.

When the arrested accused were produced in the court, the court granted five days remand to Emdadul Haque Rabbani and two days to Noor-e-Nasreen. Besides, Mejbah Uddin gave a confessional statement in the court under section 164.
