The bi-annual conference of the upazila and municipal branches of the Pooja Celebration Parishad and the Hindu, Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad was held at Bhangura in Pabna.

This bi-annual conference was held on June 3, 2026, at 12 o’clock on Wednesday at Bhadrapara Kali Mandir premises of Bhangura Upazila.

The first session of the bi-annual conference was presided over by the President of the convening committee of Bangladesh Puja Udjaj Parishad Bhangura Upazila Branch, Mr. Biplab Kumar Gun and moderated by Mr. Sudhir Chandra Sarkar. Bangladesh Puja Udjaj Parishad Pabna district committee president, Rotarian Mr. Prabash Chandra Bhadra spoke as the chief guest.

Pabna District Branch President of Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Unity Parishad, Mr. Chandan Kumar Chakraborty, General Secretary Mr. Binoy Jyoti Kund, President of Bhangura Upazila Branch Hindu, Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad, Prof. Shri Bhavesh Chandra Dey, Former General Secretary of Bhangura Upazila Branch Puja Celebration Parishad Parimal Kumar, Former General Secretary of Bhangura Upazila Branch Puja Celebration Parishad Sangeet Kumar Pal, Former President of Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad, Malay Kumar Dev, various union leaders along with journalist Bikash Kumar gave acceptance speech on behalf of Bhangura Sadar Union Puja Celebration Parishad.

With the consent of all those present at the conference, it was announced that Sangeet Kumar Pal was made the President and Samarjit Guna the General Secretary for 2 years as the Bhangura Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad Committee and Parimal Kumar was made the President and Praloy Kumar Biswas the General Secretary for 2 years.

On the other hand, Professor Bhavesh Chandra Dey was made the president and Malay Kumar Dev the general secretary of the Hindu, Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad Committee of Bhangura Upazila branch for 2 years and Nirmal Kumar Roy was made the president and Tarun Kumar Gun Mitu was made the general secretary of the Bhangura municipal branch for 2 years.Committee of Christian Unity announced.

The president and secretary said, you will form a full committee within 10 full days after everyone’s consent/discussion and send it to us. We will scrutinize with our representatives and announce the full committee.If there is any complaint in the committee then that committee will be prevented from announcing.
