DIG Mr. Ali Akbar Khan got the responsibility of CID

DIG Mr. Ali Akbar Khan has been appointed as acting head of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police. Last 01/06/2026 AD. This order was issued through a notification issued by the police headquarters on

Mr. Ali Akbar Khan who joined Bangladesh Police through 15th BCS (Police) Cadre in 1995 was born on 21 September 1967 in Chandpur District. In his long career, this smart officer of Bangladesh Police has won praise from all circles by working in various important units including Range Police, Directorate of Bangladesh Police and Public Security Department of Ministry of Home Affairs with dedication, efficiency and genuine honesty.

He has participated in various trainings, seminars and workshops at home and abroad to achieve professional excellence. Among them, the workshop titled “Promoting Regular and Legal Migration, Preventing Human Trafficking, Discouraging Irregular Migration and Repatriating Irregular Migrants” held in Italy and “Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants (TIP/SOM) Data Collecting for South Asia” held in Maldives. He has also enriched his professional knowledge and skills by participating in various important international training programs.
