Accused of gang rape and video recording of girl in Mirpur: Justice did not come even after spending 22 days in hospital

A sensational and brutal allegation of gang-rape and blackmailing a 14-year-old girl in the capital’s Mirpur Diabari Kaundia area by recording an offensive video. After the incident, the girl returned home recently after being hospitalized for 22 consecutive days in a critical condition, but the main accused are still missing. The victim’s family complains that they are not getting the expected cooperation from the law enforcement agencies.
According to the details of the case and the victim’s family sources, the incident started on the 19th of last month. The girl was found alone at home and forcibly raped and the incident was secretly videotaped. Later, by threatening and blackmailing the offensive video, other youths have been torturing and sexually assaulting the girl for a long time.
The victim’s family claims that at one stage of the torture, the manager of the house called the girl and handed her over to five young men at around 3 o’clock on the day of the last incident. The accused brutally gang-raped the girl by tying her hands, feet and face and left her unconscious. The next morning, local residents rescued him in a bloody and unconscious state and rushed him to the hospital. He recently returned home after fighting with death for 22 consecutive days.
According to the victim’s family, three accused have been arrested so far for their involvement in this inhumane incident, but two more accused involved in the main incident are still walking around in the open. The family alleged that since the incident, they are suffering from extreme insecurity and are not getting any desired and effective cooperation from the law enforcement agencies in arresting the culprits.
When the local police station administration and investigating officer were contacted in this regard, they said,Immediately after receiving the complaint, the police are on the alert and three people have already been brought under the law. Operations are on to nab the rest of the accused and all legal and security assistance will be provided to the victim’s family.
