Khagrachari Manikchari East Gachchabil area, husband killed wife.

A housewife named Mahinur Akhter (24) was found dead at her husband’s house in East Gachchabil area of Manikchari upazila of Khagrachari. On Thursday (7) at 10:30 p.m., the Manikchari Thana Police recovered the vehicle.

Abul Kalam, the deceased’s husband, said that in the evening, his wife Mahinoor had a fight, or a fight. At one stage of the scuffle, Mahinur was hit on the head by the spade in the hands of the two. Mahinur’s head burst and immediately fell on the ground. Abul Kalam’s mother Khadija Begum said the same thing.

However, the father of the victim, Abu Taher, claimed that his daughter Mahinur was married to her husband. Abul Kalam mercilessly killed him with a spade. He told the reporters that Khajida Begum, mother-in-law of the deceased, is also involved in the incident. Deceased Mahinoor is the daughter of Abu Taher, a resident of Godatli area and mother of two infant sons. Swami Abul Kalam is the son of late Noor Alam Sheikh of East Gachchabil area.

Masud Parvez, officer-in-charge of Manikchari police station, said,On receiving the information, the police recovered La/Sh. The accused husband Abul Kalam, who was involved in the incident, has been arrested. Legal proceedings are pending’.
