Distribution of free seeds and fertilizers to small and marginal farmers in Natore

Distribution of free seeds and chemical fertilizers to small and marginal farmers under incentive program for Rabi 2025-26 season inaugurated at Natore.

On Sunday (November 2) at around 11 o’clock in the Natore Sadar Upazila Parishad premises, this distribution program was inaugurated by the Department of Agriculture Extension, Natore Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Md. Arif Adnan. AUpazila Agriculture Officer Neelima Jahan along with officials and employees of Agriculture Department and local farmers were present.

Under the incentive program, seeds and fertilizers of various crops were distributed to 4,360 farmers. Out of this, 20 kg of seed, 10 kg of DAP and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer are given to each farmer for wheat. 1 kg seed, 10 kg DAP and 10 kg MOP for mustard; 1 kg seed, 10 kg DAP and 10 kg MOP for onion;10 kg seed and 10 kg DAP for groundnut; 5 kg seeds, 10 kg DAP and 5 kg MOP for lentils; And 8 kg seeds, 10 kg DAP and 5 kg MOP fertilizers are given for khesari.

Speakers at the inauguration said that this incentive program of the government will reduce the production cost of farmers and encourage them to produce more crops.
